Seattle, WA – February 28, 2022 – Kin On Board of Directors is pleased to name Sam Wan as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2022.
Sam previously served as the CEO of Kin On for over 30 years and retired in 2017. During his tenure, Sam led the organization from a small rented facility in First Hill to a multi-million organization with offices in the Chinatown-International District, Columbia City, and Bellevue. In 2014, he spearheaded Kin On’s capital expansion project that transformed the organization from a standalone nursing home to an aging-friendly community for all levels of care.
“Sam is the best person with deep knowledge to lead Kin On as we conduct a search for the organization’s next CEO,” said board president Sherwin Tsao. “We are committed to ensuring a successful transition while providing excellent care for our community.”
In his interim role as Kin On CEO, Sam shared, “as a Kin On ‘lifer’, I am honored to step into this interim position to continue our mission and strategic direction forward seamlessly.”
Sam will resign as a member of the Board and use his expertise to guide the organization through this transition of leadership.
