Seattle, WA – March 26, 2022 – Kin On Board of Directors has appointed Ketty Hsieh as Chief Executive Officer effective June 1, 2022.

“I’m delighted to announce that we have selected Ketty Hsieh as Kin On’s next CEO,” said Hannah Wong, Kin On Board First Vice President and Search Committee Chair. “Ketty’s unique combination of proven success in executive leadership roles, considerable experience in the healthcare field, and deep cultural understanding of the Asian community makes her ideally suited to lead Kin On into the future.”

She has also been serving on the Kin On Board and in the Finance Committee since 2021.

“Being on the Kin On Board allows me to have a deeper appreciation of the services provided by Kin On to the Asian elders and families in our community,” said Hsieh. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead the 250 employees of Kin On and to support their efforts to serve our older adults in their aging journey.”

Hsieh will work alongside Interim Chief Executive Officer Sam Wan for a transition period and assume her position on June 1, 2022.

“The Board is tremendously proud of the Kin On leadership team and quality of care this organization has sustained over its proud 37+ year history,” said Sherwin Tsao, Kin On Board President. “We are excited to work with Ketty in advancing our mission and meeting the changing care needs of the community, especially in a current COVID environment.”

“The mission-driven aspect of nonprofit organizations gives me extra motivation to come to work every day. Kin On is a gem in our community, and I hope to build on the strong foundation we already have and grow Kin On to reach and serve even more Asian seniors,” Hsieh said.

Prior to joining Optum, Hsieh served as the Transformation Analytic Consultant at Providence St. Joseph Health Systems and was the Vice President of Finance, Care Delivery, for Kaiser Permanente of Washington. She received her Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. She also completed her MBA at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
