On April 23, we gave Dr. I-Jen Chen a heartfelt send-off as he embarks on retirement after 36 years of dedicated service at Kin On.
During Kin On’s early days, Dr. Chen played a key role in fundraising for the nursing home and served as one of the initial board members. From the very beginning, he has cared for our residents as a dedicated community doctor and has served as our Medical Director since 2015.
The Kin On family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chen for his decades of dedicated service to Kin On and the Asian community.
Dr. Chen’s contributions extend beyond our nursing home. He has been instrumental in shaping our Eastside Community Center. As one of the founders of the Asian Senior Concerns Foundation (ASCF), which later merged with Kin On Eastside, he not only serves as an instructor but is also an active member, passionately promoting healthy aging within the Asian senior community.
Looking ahead, while Dr. Chen is retiring, he will continue to stay involved at our Eastside Community Center, helping to grow it into a vibrant senior learning center.
