Emergency & Inclement Weather Preparedness for Visitors
Kin On is committed to the safety of everyone on our campus — family members, guests, volunteers, and partners. This page explains what to expect if severe weather, a health advisory, or another emergency occurs during your visit.
Before You Visit
- Snow & inclement weather:
- Kin On Seattle and Eastside Community Centers follow the snow closure schedule of the Seattle and Bellevue Public School Districts — if either district announces a snow closure, our community centers will be closed as well. Please check the closure status before heading over:
- Seattle Public Schools: https://www.seattleschools.org/
- Bellevue School District: https://bsd405.org/
- Rehab & Care Center, Assisted Living, and Ark & Winnie Chin Legacy Home remain open and staffed during snow and inclement weather; however, please call 1.888.721.3634 to confirm visiting hours before traveling in severe conditions.

- Public health advisories: During a communicable disease outbreak or public health emergency, visiting hours or building access may be temporarily limited to protect residents. Please call 1.888.721.3634 before visiting if you’re aware of an active advisory.

- Follow the direction of Kin On staff at all times — they are trained to coordinate visitor safety alongside resident care.
