Kin On’s Aging-Friendly Campus Expansion Has Begun!


SEATTLE – Over 70 people including local dignitaries, Kin On supporters, corporate sponsors, and community members celebrated Kin On's Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, Spetember 19, 2014 to
officially kick off the "Creating an Aging-Friendly Community" Kin On Expansion Project. Special thanks to Former Governor and U.S. Ambassador, Gary Locke for his heartfelt keynote address and Deputy Mayor Hyeok Kim for her congratulatory message.

About the Kin On Expansion Project:
Despite recent the economic downturn and changes in healthcare, Kin On has remained steadfast in our mission by providing culturally appropriate nursing care and support services, as well as developing new ways to better serve our community. We have arrived at an exciting new chapter as we embark on an Expansion Project that will create an aging-friendly Kin On campus. The completion of the two-year expansion will result in the following community benefits:

Healthy Aging Community Center – a 2600 sq-ft multipurpose space for conducting exercise classes , health workshops, and other healthy aging activities
Assisted Living Facility & Adult Family Home – two types of affordable senior housing with amenities and services that are tailored to the residents’ needs
Short-Term Rehab Wing & Sun Room – increased capacity to enable more patients to rehabilitate and transition back home
